St. David’s College is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for ages 9-19. Located in Llandudno on a stunning campus centred around a beautiful Tudor manor house, the school’s aim is a simple one: to create a unique whole-person education centred on the individual and embedded in a family atmosphere.
Taking a whole-person approach allows teachers to discover the talents of every individual and tailor their education accordingly. Staff take the time to cultivate pupils’ interests in academic and extracurricular subjects and activities, while recognising and nurturing existing skills, talents and interests. Known for exceptional learning support and SEN provision, the school creates unique learning plans that guide each member of staff on the learning strengths and methods of each individual. This approach nurtures the abilities and talents of all pupils, while challenging those who are academically strong.
Education at St David’s College is not confined to the classroom. Its award-winning extracurricular programme is delivered by an industry-leading outdoor education department. As part of the curriculum, pupils are encouraged to try new experiences, with multiple excursions leaving the site each week to engage in activities such as climbing, skiing, and kayaking. Outdoor education is a vital part of the educational experience at St David’s, building confidence, resilience, self-esteem and leadership skills.
“Commitment to learning support creates innovative teaching approaches, empowering pupils to unlock their full potential.”
