Cheltenham Ladies’ College has been at the forefront of girls’ education for 170 years. Our heritage and global reputation were founded on our pioneering approach and, as we look to the future, we will continue our advancement of girls’ educational opportunities and the development of intellectually curious, self-motivated and enthusiastic young women.
Our GCSE, A Level and IB results are consistently outstanding, leading to Cheltenham Ladies’ College frequently winning awards for academic excellence, including Top Boarding School in the UK for the International Baccalaureate, and South West Independent Secondary School of the Decade (The Sunday Times).
In 2023, we celebrated excellent results, with 71.7% A*/A grades at A Level and an average of 39.1 points for the IB. Pupils secured places to study at world-leading universities across the UK, including Bath, Cambridge, LSE, Oxford and Warwick, as well as Brown, NYU and UCLA in the US, and McGill in Canada.
While our pupils’ academic achievements are important, these must also sit alongside co-curricular activities that inspire and challenge them. We recognise that every student is an individual and pupils are encouraged to embrace a range of activities to suit their passions and interests, from musical and sporting to intellectual and cultural. Our global outlook encourages girls to play a part in the wider world, creating young women who value and serve the communities to which they belong.
