Headington School

Headington School is a leading British day and boarding school for girls, aged 3 to 18. Boarding is available for girls from the age of 11 to 18.

A school with high expectations, but coupled with a recognition that achievement doesn’t come exclusively from academic areas. Super facilities and spacious grounds too. The Good Schools Guide

The School is located just one mile away from Oxford City centre and has 23 acres which encompass plenty of green space with the school’s boarding houses and array of learning facilities. For the older girls, Oxford is just a 10 minute bus ride away, where they can experience the Dreaming Spires and the city’s cultural and historical offerings.

Headington School is steeped in tradition, having educated girls since 1915, however they always look to the future to innovate and enhance pupils’ learning.

A new Creativity & Innovation centre called the Hive, is due to officially open in September 2021, placing an emphasis on cross curricular learning and the development of the essentially human skills of creativity and problem solving. The School has also secured planning permission on an eight-acre site on the River Thames, for a boathouse, wet dock and boating pontoons.

Fundamentally, Headington is an academic, selective school where girls achieve fantastic results and choose to attend universities and prestigious academic institutions all over the world on the most competitive courses. The School also offers a vast extra-curricular programme, with more than 150 clubs and activities to choose from each week.
