Malvern St James Girls’ School

A modern and dynamic leading independent school for girls, rated ‘Excellent’ by ISI, and set at the foot of the majestic Malvern Hills. What makes MSJ distinct is our active support for the individual talents and interests of girls, who can pursue their passions in the field of their choice. It may be medicine, engineering, politics, sports, or the expressive arts - all routes are equal.

“The school feels driven and full of girls who are going to change the world…” The Good Schools Guide

We achieve excellent academic results, driven by inspirational teaching which focuses on the individual and encourages girls to be ambitious, determined and confident. Co-curricular activities are embraced alongside academic studies and with a diverse programme of over 100 activities there is something available for every interest, including: STEM clubs, debating, drama, music, journalism, sport of every kind, Young Enterprise, and Model United Nations.

Pupils are encouraged to pursue leadership roles, make their voice heard, and start and run initiatives. Our Oxbridge and ‘Russell Up’ support programmes prepare pupils for the most competitive UK and international universities and career pathways. The diverse list of graduate courses at the most prestigious institutions and the competitive career paths which follow are testament tMSJ’s culture of ambition and achievement.
We are experienced in providing a ‘home-away-from-home’ for Forces families and our first-class pastoral support helps to provide consistency and stability to ensure your daughter thrives. Our Forces families value the flexibility and individual support that our wrap around care offers and many of our boarding staff are themselves part of Forces families.

If your family is eligible for the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA), you only need to pay 10% of our boarding fees. For families not eligible for the CEA, we offer a Forces Family Discount.
