Mount St Mary’s College is steeped in history and situated within the beautiful rural settings of North Derbyshire, but yet only 2 hours away from London by train and 1.5 hours from Manchester. If driving, it is only two miles from J30 of the M1 and within 1.5 hours of major airports.
"Educational excellence focused on achieving growth of the whole person; academically, physically, musically and spiritually.
Mount St Mary’s College offers a demanding academic curriculum of GCSEs and A Levels, whilst at the same time placing equal value in developing the whole individual through sporting, musical and cultural opportunities. Pastoral care is a strength in this Catholic school that welcomes local, national and international pupils of all denominations.
The College is a coeducational day and boarding school with a large number of our pupils coming from the immediate locality. All students participate in a Saturday morning activities programme with many sporting fixtures taking place on a Saturday afternoon.
Keeping with the Jesuit ethos, which underpins the educational approach of the School, Mount St Mary’s College works to celebrate the talents of each individual child. Each year pupils go on to secure places at top universities both in the UK and overseas.
