Wrekin College is a flourishing co-educational day and boarding school in a beautiful part of Britain.
Wrekin is a school that takes pride in itself, but is never complacent
Well served by transport links, it combines the benefits of rural and urban living, and is an unusually happy place to work and study. The school community is very strong, with excellent relationships between pupils and staff. Wrekin is over 130 years old, with all the traditions of an English education. But we are also a cosmopolitan, vibrant community.
Wrekin has a strong academic record. We pride ourselves on stimulating intellectual curiosity, providing excellent and inspiring teaching and making learning exciting. Our focus is on academic achievement, producing well-rounded individuals, with a wealth of skills to enable them to confidently enter the world of further education and employment. Opportunities abound in sport and the arts but also in a wide variety of co-curricular activities.
Our new £2.5m Music School opened in January 2020, while our new library and Sixth Form Centre opened in September 2018. Our Business School, opened in January 2017, has the employability of Wrekin’s pupils at its heart.
