Culford School

Culford is an independent boarding and day school, for 850 boys and girls aged 9 months to 18 years, set in 480 acres of Suffolk parkland. Located near the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, Culford is close to Cambridge (30 min), Stansted (1 hr); and London, Gatwick & Heathrow airports (2 hrs).

With a number of pupils with parents serving in the armed forces, we recognise that being a Service Child has unique opportunities and challenges. We offer dedicated support and screening, alongside opportunities to cultivate community and celebrate identity. While a parent may be serving elsewhere, we ensure that the child remains rooted in a community that understands their world. 

Our specialist academies in football, tennis, golf, dance and swimming enable pupils to pursue sporting excellence alongside academic success. Recent alumni have gone on to compete at international level in golf, tennis, rugby and dance.

We are committed to helping every child unlock their full potential. High-quality teaching is supported by superb academic and sporting facilities, including the landmark library, Patterson Centre for Creative Technology, studio theatre, two dance studios, Sports & Tennis centre with a 25-meter pool and six indoor courts, and an indoor golf TRACKMAN® swing analysis suite and on-site golf driving range and short game area.
