St. Mary’s School, Cambridge

St Mary’s School offers the best of a British education and an inspiring pathway to some of the most prestigious universities in the world as the leading independent day and boarding school for girls aged 4-18 in Cambridge.

“Empowering girls since 1898.”

Our 2019 Sixth Form students celebrated St Mary’s School’s best A Level for results for three years. From studying Physics at Oxford, Music at Cambridge, Chemical Engineering at Imperial to Economics at LSE - whatever path a girl chooses, we believe that ‘yes she can’ fulfil her dreams at St Mary’s. Within our Catholic heritage lies a strong message of female empowerment that we instil in our students.

We offer a balanced and creative education in the liberal tradition, rooted in our timeless Christian values. Boarders join us from Year 5, aged 9, and live in Mary Ward House and the Elms – our exceptional boarding houses – where they are supported by caring staff in a secure and safe atmosphere. They live in our beautifully furbished facilities, with comfortable bedrooms and spacious communal areas, with beautiful views across the University of Cambridge’s Botanic Garden.
