Frewen College is a leading school for children aged 7-19 with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia and speech, language and communication needs.
“A dyslexia school where children thrive and are transformed.”
It is the oldest dyslexia school in the UK and possibly the world. Our school combines a beautiful country house and park setting with easy accessibility. London is just over an hour by train, Gatwick Airport one hour by taxi.
Classes are appropriately small, and all our highly experienced teachers are trained to teach in a dyslexia-friendly way in all lessons. Staff and students are extremely proud to have recently been voted the ‘Best Dyslexia-Friendly School’ by the British Dyslexia Association.
We are a small school and have students of all academic abilities, with dyslexia and related needs and yet our students regularly exceed national expectations. In 2019 GCSE 9-4 grades (A*-C) and the all-important progress or ‘value added’ scores increased significantly, for the fifth consecutive year. Boarders benefit from a wide variety of sport and a full and varied programme of weekend activities and visits.
