Situated in 315 acres of stunning parkland just 20 minutes from London Heathrow Airport and only 30 minutes by train to Central London, RMS is a thriving day and boarding school where ambitious girls receive the very best educational and pastoral care.
“RMS offers a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment where each child is esteemed as an individual, capable of success.”
Boarding houses are located at the heart of the school, and staff are very experienced in looking after the needs of overseas students. Founded in 1788 RMS is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the country and its in the country. Its proud heritage sits alongside outstanding modern facilities, innovative teaching and a wide curriculum to form an exceptional and inspiring environment in which to live and learn. The extensive campus is home to a wide range of excellent facilities for academic study, sport, performing and creative arts.
We help girls to identify their individual talents and develop their interests, challenging them to be the best they can be in all they do.
Whilst results are important and our students achieve excellent grades both at GCSE and A level, as a school we place emphasis on the process of learning; girls at RMS receive a complete education that goes far beyond merely teaching the examination syllabus; students leave RMS as confident, well balanced and emotionally intelligent young women ready for the next stage of their life, whether it be university or the work place.
RMS is fully committed to providing support to our Armed Forces families, recognising the particular pressures placed on service personnel and their families, the requirement for family mobility and the long periods of parental deployment. Maintaining a stable educational platform for service children is one of RMS’s goals and as a school we appreciate that service children invariably have a great deal of wider experience that can further enrich our community. Boarding at RMS is flexible (full, weekly and flexi boarding are all available) also provides lots of opportunities for your daughter to develop her potential. RMS does not have any compulsory exeat weekends.
RMS is on the approved list of schools for families who receive the Forces’ Boarding Schools Allowance, and HM Forces personnel in receipt of CEA only pay 10% of RMS school fees.
