From the moment you enter the 150-acre Kentish parkland estate, you will be amazed at the facilities on offer and the breadth of opportunities students can access. The Duke of York’s Royal Military School (DOYRMS), open to all 11–18-year-olds, is based on an independent style model with Saturday morning lessons and co-curricular activities throughout the week and on Saturday afternoons.

As the country’s only state full-boarding school, DOYRMS boasts unrivalled facilities including an Olympic standard floodlit athletics track, state-of-the-art strength and conditioning gym suite, an indoor heated 6-lane swimming pool, two climbing walls and squash courts. Students enjoy a unique blend of academic achievement and an active lifestyle with sport, music, drama, and a vast activities programme of over 80 clubs a week including Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme. In recognition of the exceptional academic standards, the school achieved two SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards. Those qualifying for the MOD Continuity of Education Allowance benefit from a 92% reduction in fees.
