King’s Bruton

Life at King’s Bruton is full of variety and opportunities, where our pupils experience a broad and challenging academic curriculum. With outstanding A Level, GCSE and BTEC results, pupils enjoy an exceptional level of success in gaining access to their first choice of university. The School has excellent communication links with a mainline train station five minutes’ walk away. Extra-curricular activities are broad and far-reaching including a full choir, a large number of musical ensemble groups, sports teams who compete in national and international arenas, and our 200-seat theatre which is the venue for outstanding drama. Over half of the senior pupils undertake the challenging and rewarding Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

At the heart of the King’s Bruton community lie our six boarding houses, each with their own unique identity and nurturing system of pastoral care and support. The cornerstone of our pastoral care is creating a healthy sense of self, promoting kindness and compassion by encouraging our pupils to put their best foot forward in all that they do. King’s pupils are encouraged to respect themselves and others, to adopt a positive attitude, and to strive to be the best they can be. Pupils leave here confident and fully prepared to contribute to life beyond the school gates. The combination of King’s Bruton and Hazlegrove Prep School as a Foundation provides a busy, happy, and thriving community and we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit.

With ex-Servicemen in teaching and support roles, King’s has a deep understanding of the unique circumstances associated with military life. The School works hard to ensure our provision remains affordable for all service families whilst ensuring the best levels of education and care. We currently offer a 20% discount on the fees.

“Community, Quality, Success”.
