Queen’s College

Queen’s College Taunton is a flourishing co-educational day and boarding school situated on the outskirts of the historic county town of Taunton in the south west of England, overlooking the picturesque Quantock and Blackdown hill: areas of outstanding natural beauty.

“The forward thinking independent school creating caring, ambitious and well educated boys and girls.

We pride ourselves on providing an outstanding individual education based on a culture of family values, consideration and inclusivity. Our class sizes are small and we offer outstanding pastoral care which enables our students to learn and grow in a nurturing and encouraging environment. Academically, Queen’s is very strong, our A-Level results are amongst the top 5% in the country, and the vast majority of our students take up their first-choice place at university.

Our exceptional onsite facilities include a 570 seat theatre (the largest in the region), a modern design and technology workshop, a contemporary food and nutrion room, playing fields, an onsite gym and a swimming pool. A huge variety of co-curricular activities take place on and off campus everyday ranging from sports to kayaking to theatre production to robotics, there really is something for everyone!

We are particularly proud of our rich performing art reputation, we put on a minimum of 4 professional level productions each academic year. On the sports field, more than 20 of our students have represented their country on the international stage in recent years.

Our boarding houses reflect the warm and friendly community feel that is found across the whole school. Each Boarding house has a genuine family feel with dedicated residential houseparents and assistants.
